General Trip Information: Two and Four Day Pack Trips

Thank you for your interest in Brewster Mountain Pack Train's Overnight Horseback Riding Trips. Many Brewsters, and those who have worked for them, have enjoyed what the backcountry in Alberta has to offer, with some of the most spectacular scenery in the world.

Brewster Mountain Pack Trains today provides backcountry vacations for guests who want to experience this type of adventure. All the horses, guides, meals, and cabin accommodations are provided. Guest just need to relax and enjoy the scenery. Trips to Hussey’s Cabins and to Meadow Creek (the Brewster Company Ranch), explore the Ghost river areas northwest of the Kananaskis Ranch. The trips leave from the Ranch and can be 2 or 4 days in duration. Trips of longer duration can also be accommodated.

"It was a once in a lifetime trip for us all.”

Neale and Gail Daniels- Manitoba, Canada

Meadow Creek has been the winter grazing grounds for the Brewster’s horses since the early 1900’s. Over the years the family has run as many as 600 head of horses, but today runs about 150. Hussey’s Cabin location is named after a Brewster family friend. Fred Hussey, who had an old cabin in this private mountain location, came to his Cabin to get away from it all.

On our pack trips we travel in some of the most spectacular areas of the Rockies, where seeing is definitely believing! We climb to some high elevations (approx. 5,500-ft) on well kept switchback trails up and over the Yamnuska Mountain on the border of Banff National Park. We cross streams and travel through wooded areas, on trails that are walking only, because of the terrain.

Please contact us at 403-762-5454 if you have any questions, or if you would like to book your backcountry adventure. We look forward to hearing from you and being your hosts.
